Nils Folke Anderson (b. Washington, DC) is a painter and sculptor based in Brooklyn, NY.

Anderson's methodology and artistic sensibility is best described as haptic geometry. Much of his work engages a principle that Anderson calls reciprocal linkage: in which a number of identical frame-like forms link together, each link passing through every other to create densely reflexive interdependencies.

His work has been exhibited widely, including shows at Phillips De Pury, the Dikeou Collection, Robert Miller Gallery, the University of Georgia Athens, and The Bemis Center for Contemporary Art.  His work is in numerous public and private collections, such as UBS, NASA, and the BakerIE, and includes a permanent public sculpture in Ilford, UK.

Nils received a BFA from Cooper Union (1994), and an MFA from Hunter College (2007)
